The Working Holiday Internship Program (WHIP) provides Working Holiday Visa holders the opportunity to combine any Quest English program with an internship placement in an area that reflects their experience and interests.

Placements are available depending on the industry and the applicants experience and education. Placements are possible in numerous areas, including: Hospitality, Business Administration, Sales, Services and Information Technology. If approved, you will be guranteed placement in a field in which you have expressed interest on your application.

Acceptance into the program gurantees you with a job placement according to your specifications. Acceptnce into the programs requires:

  • Successful completion of online English placement test
  • Completion of WHIP application form
  • Successful Skype video interview with Internship Coordinator

WHIP requires a minimum of 4 weeks intensive English prior to commencing work placement. You must attain at minimum level 7 or 8 (out of 11 levels, high intermediate) prior to commecing your work placement. The exact level of English required will depend on the type of job and whether it is paid or unpaid.

This program is available only to students with an International Experience Canada Working Holiday visa.

  • Entry level: Level 7 out of 11.
  • Students not meeting required entry level must first upgrade in CORE English program.
  • Duration: 2 to 16 weeks
  • Minimum Age: 16 (summer 15)
  • Intensity Options: 32 lessons per week
